Google dice adiós a Google Labs
Una de las cosas que más me gustaba de Google, es que estaban abiertos a la innovación, con proyectos que a veces se veían un poco locos, pero que resultaban siendo grandes éxitos (o fracasos en algunos casos). Ese lugar donde se gestaron algunas de las mejores herramientas de Google dice adiós. Se trata de Google Labs, donde los programadores de la compañía probaban nuevos servicios con la ayuda de los usuarios. Al parecer, Google desea concentrar sus esfuerzos y dinero en sus productos más fuertes, dejando fuera la innovación y el espíritu que caracterizó al ahora gigante de la Internet desde sus comienzos, algo que lo transformaría en una empresa más del montón.
Además, afirman que los servicios que ya estaban presentes en Google Labs, pasarán a estar disponibles en otras áreas, aunque suponemos que sólo se aplicará a aquellos que ya estaban casi listos para ser lanzados de forma oficial. El crecimiento y éxito le está haciendo más daño que bien a Google, empresa que está empezando a olvidar sus orígenes, para privilegiar los números, algo que a la larga puede volvérsele en contra. Al respecto, los portavoces de Google señalaron "A pesar de haber aprendido mucho con el lanzamiento de prototipos en Labs, creemos que una mayor concentración es fundamental si queremos aprovechar al máximo las extraordinarias oportunidades que tenemos por delante."
